Real estate revival in Jaipur

The market shows a slight rise in the field of real estate in Jaipur. The festival season has brought good news to the real estate businessmen in Jaipur. The major bankers have reduced the interest rates for home loans which are a good sign for those who plan to buy houses and properties in Jaipur. Earlier the interest rates where as high as thirteen to twelve percent, now it is reduced to nine and eight percent. The sudden reductions of interest rates are due to the intervention of government. Now people are ready to spend their money in buying their dream homes. Many builders are now selling their flats on reasonable price. If there is any right time to buy properties in Jaipur, this is the time. The trend is going to remain for at least the coming four to five years.

Cricket match shift upsets Jaipur fans

The opening ODI in the upcoming India- Australia series has changed from Jaipur to Vadodara. The BCCI decision has upset Rajasthan Cricket Association as well as millions of Jaipur cricket fans. Jaipur stadiums haven’t seen one single international cricket match for the last two years. The Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot called up the former BCCI president Sharad Pawar to sort out the situation. "I conveyed the feelings of Rajasthan's cricket lovers to the BCCI. They promised to try their best not to shift the match," Gehlot said earlier.

India- Australia series is a much awaited series especially after India pushed Australian down to 3rd position in the ICC ranking. Jaipur fans are crossing their fingers to get a glimpse of their favourite stars battle for supremacy.

Freight rates hike in Jaipur

The fright rate is rocketing in Chandigarh and Jaipur. Today the freight rate for ten metric tonne has increased to Rs. 500 in the local truck transport market. The trend has remained same in all other destination except in Chandigarh and Jaipur. The transporters justify the busy cargo movement due to festival season and the shortages of trucks are the reason to trigger the increase of freight charges. Freight rates from Delhi to Jaipur and Chandigarh has increased by Rs. 500 each to Rs. 8500 and Rs. 8000 respectively. The trend is likely to reduce soon after the dussera festival is over.

Four Points in Jaipur

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc is going to launch Four Points in Jaipur. Certainly, a good news for the hospitality industry. The proposed hotel is supposed to have 115 rooms, bar, delegate hall, restaurant, and 700 sq feet of space for business meets and other related works.

There are few other hotel chains also serving the business class in Jaipur. Fortune, Trident Hilton, and Le Meridien are to name a few. So next time, you will get another staying options in Jaipur providing your office is paying for your staying expenses. However, "the Pink city" currently has several hotels serving all kind of tourists. Nevertheless, for my liking there should have been few hotels for average tourist goers also.

“Satsang hall” of Govind Dev Ji Temple enters into Guinness Book of World Records

Last week I took a look at the Satsang Hall of Govind Dev Ji Temple. It was said that post tensioning technology was used in the making. This beautiful structure has found itself a place in the Guiness Book of World Records for its architectural wonders. The massive hall at any given time could hold about 5000 devotees!  The construction, owned by the trust of Govind Devji temple, has cost Rs. 30 million. Rajasthan State Road Development Corporation was entrusted with this project, which in turn was handed over to a firm in Vadodara.

Hats off, it was truly an awesome achievement :)
